Teledyne Technologies Names
New Vice President of Human Resources
LOS ANGELES - Feb. 10, 2000 - Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY) today announced the appointment of Nick Blauwiekel as vice president of human resources, effective March 1, 2000.
Blauwiekel most recently served as the corporate vice president of human resources for Shiloh Industries Incorporated, a Cleveland-based steel processing company that manufactures parts for the automotive and other industries. During his tenure at Shiloh, he helped align the human resources function with the business's growth strategy, which saw the business double in size.
From 1996 to 1998, he held the position of vice president of human resources for Cooper Automotive Company, a $1.1 billion international business located in Chesterfield, MO. Blauwiekel started his career with Eaton Corporation in 1979 as a part of its Employee Relations Development Program and held a number of increasingly responsible human resources managerial positions at several locations over 17 years before joining Cooper Automotive.
"Nick's extensive experience makes him an excellent choice to help our company develop world-class recruitment, retention and employee development programs." said Robert Mehrabian, president and chief executive officer. "Nick will be an integral part of our newly assembled senior management team."
Mr. Blauwiekel earned his bachelor's degree in labor relations from Michigan State University and his master's in management from Central Michigan University.
